Royal Palace, Gödöllő

The Royal Palace of Gödöllő is one of the largest Baroque palaces in Hungary. Built in the 18th century by Count Antal Grassalkovich, it later became the favourite residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Queen Elisabeth (Sisi). After decades of decline in the 20^th century, the palace was fully restored and today hosts exhibitions, cultural festivals and family events.
