👥 Heads of Delegations Meeting

The Heads of Delegations Meeting will take place in the Ludovika Arena middle room at 17:00. We kindly ask all Heads of Delegation to attend!

The Games+ program

CIRPP is the committee that is responsible for the Games+ program of the FISEC/FICEP Games. The activities they organise do not conccentrate on the sports competitions but on meeting people from other countries with different backgrounds  and views of life and so broadening your mind. We believe that you need an open and informed mind to get the best out of your body. That is why  Holy Mass, the Youth Forum and the Bazaar form an integral part of the Games.

Marie Guyon (President) from France, Gert Van Damme (Flanders) and Jane Kappers (The Netherlands) welcome you to the games in Budapest and invite you to actively participate in our activities. If you have any questions, remarks or suggestions about one of our activities, please speak to one of us. 

 

⛪ Holy Mass 

At the St. Stephen’s Basilica:

19:30 – Group Photo: A group photo will be taken on Wednesday 15 July at 19.30 in front of St Stephen’s Basilica. Make sure your delegation is there on time in their official outfits.

20:00 – Holy Mass: Holy Mass will be celebrated in St Stephen’s Basilica on Wednesday 15 July at 20.00. There will be four short prayers by participants in English, Spanish, French and Hungarian; those countries have been asked to do this by CIRPP. These participants will be seated in the front row in the church.

Hopefully you have all remembered to bring an offering which will be presented to the bishop during Mass. Please select two participants of your delegation to sit at the front of the church to present the offering.

Please ask your participants to behave respectfully in church; they should still wear their official outfits there. Telephones should be turned off.

Holy Communion should only be taken by those who are baptised Catholics. During communion there should be absolute silence, as it is a moment of reflection. At all times respect the rites of the Catholic church., so for example stand up when everybody stands up.

The Holy Mass will be celebrated by Dr. Martos Balázs Levente.

Please wear your delegation uniform, arrive on time and follow the volunteers’ instructions. We kindly ask everyone to behave respectfully throughout the celebration.

The Youth Forum

The Youth Forum is an opportunity  for participants to meet youngsters from other countries outside the field of sports to discuss matters in their daily lives. In mixed groups of about 8 to 10 youngsters of different countries they will talk about questions related to the slogan of the Games: YES: youth, education and sports. All groups will make a poster with their views and ideas and present these to each other at the end of the session.

The Youth Forum will take place on Thursday 16 July at 18.00 in Ludovika Collegium C Room (next to the competition office), in the room where the Heads of delegations meeting was. 

 

The Bazaar

On Thursday 16 July the annual Bazaar will be held  at Ludovika Arena. We hope that all participants have brought some souvernirs or goodies from their home country. These will be sold at the Bazaar to the other participants and the total amount collected will be given to a local charity, in this case the Gézengüz Foundation. This Foundation provides medical, educational and psychological support to children aged 0 to 6 years and their families  in a well-equipped, welcoming environment.

The official kick-off is at 20.00 but we ask all delegations to prepare their stands from 19.30 onwards; we suggest a group of two adults and four students prepare the stand. Marie Guyon will be there to answer any questions. The other members of the delegations wait outside. Each delegation makes sure they have some change for the cash payments.

There are three possible ways to pay:

–       by card in euros

–       cash in euros

–       cash in forint

There will be a card terminal for each delegation which is operated by a Hungarian volunteer. Each delegation appoints a  responsible adult who works together with the volunteer.

At the end of the Bazaar, all the cash in euros and forints is collected by a member of CIRPP (Marie Guyon, Jane Kappers or Gert Van Damme) who will be at the entrance to/exit from the Bazaar. The cash does not have to be counted by the delegation itself. 

The cheque with the amount collected will be presented to the charity at the closing ceremony.

All heads of delegation will receive an overwiew of the amounts  raised per country.

🚇 Transportation

Please use Budapest public transport whenever possible. You can use it for free with your accreditation cards! Travel is free for everyone over the age of 65! Follow the official instructions provided by your volunteers and use the BudapestGO application to plan your journeys.

 

Important: If, during your travel, ticket inspectors do not accept your pass or attempt to fine you for any reason, please immediately inform the 

competition office! Do not pay on the spot under any circumstances — instead, ask for a written ticket (receipt) and bring it to the competition office for further assistance.
