Citadel, Visegrád

Built in the 13th century, the Visegrád Citadel played a significant role in medieval Hungarian history and hosted the famous royal meeting of 1335. The Holy Crown was guarded here for several periods. Today, visitors can explore historical exhibitions while enjoying one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Danube Bend.
